Requests for Application

DSU is currently accepting applications for emergency Narcan® units!

The goal is to increase the availability of emergency Narcan® in locations that have experienced an opioid overdose.

The Health Department is finalizing a contract to purchase these units. Once complete, more information will be provided. Please allow time from application to unit delivery.

This application will be open until all emergency Narcan® units are distributed. Depending on the volume of applications, the Health Department may implement a waitlist approach to ensure organizations that have experienced an overdose at their location receive a unit.

For any questions about this application, please contact naloxone@vermont.gov

Fiscal Year 2026 Opioid Settlement Funding Announcement

Applications are due no later than Friday, September 20, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

Opioid Settlement funds are appropriated in the state budget each year so are awarded on a state fiscal year cycle (starting July 1). All applications will be reviewed by the Opioid Settlement Advisory Committee. Applicants who receive majority support from OSAC members will be asked to submit a detailed budget and to attend an OSAC meeting between October and December 2024 to present their proposal in more detail.

Final decisions on what proposals to recommend for funding will be based on OSAC input and the amount of funding available.

Recommendations will be formally submitted to the Legislature in January 2025 for consideration in the fiscal year 2026 state budget process.
