Influenza surveillance is a collaborative effort among the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, state health departments, health care providers, laboratories, clinics, and emergency departments.

The 2024-2025 flu surveillance season started the week of September 29, 2024. The weekly Influenza Surveillance Report gives a snapshot of emergency room visit, sentinel provider, lab and outbreak data. Weekly monitoring reports for this season began on October 11, 2024. Weekly monitoring will conclude on May 17, 2025. The final weekly report will be published May 23, 2025.
