The Vermont Immunization Advisory Council is a group of experts who help guide immunization recommendations in Vermont.

The Vermont Immunization Advisory Council (VIAC) reviews Vermont’s immunization schedule for schools and child care programs and advises the Commissioner of Health about recommended immunizations. Members bring expertise in areas such as medicine, epidemiology, public health, education and policy.

The Council's role is established in Vermont law and was expanded through Act 76 (2026).

VIAC Members

The Council includes members appointed by the Governor and representatives from state government who serve as part of their official roles or through a designee. The Commissioner of Health may also appoint additional members as needed.
